Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of multi-dimensional nursing intervention on patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD)complicated with respiratory failure treated with high-flow nasal cannula oxygen therapy(HFNC)under the goal-oriented strategy. Methods A total of 92 patients with AECOPD complicated with respiratory failure in our hospital from June 2024 to May 2025 were selected and randomly divided into a reference group(n=46,receiving routine care)and an experimental group(n=46,receiving multi-dimensional care under the goal-oriented strategy on the basis of routine care)by the random number table method. The blood gas indicators, psychological states and comfort levels of the two groups before and after nursing were compared, and the rehabilitation process and complications were statistically analyzed. Results After the nursing care, the blood oxygen saturation(SaO2),arterial hydrogen ion concentration index(pH),and arterial partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2)in the experimental group were higher than those in the reference group, while the arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PaCO2)was lower than that in the reference group(P<0.05).After the nursing care, the negative affect(NA)score of the experimental group was lower than that of the reference group, while the positive affect(PA)score and the Kolcaba's General Comfort Questionnaire(GCQ)score of the experimental group were higher than those of the reference group(P<0.05).The oxygen therapy time, the length of stay in the intensive care unit(ICU),and the length of hospital stay in the experimental group were shorter than those in the reference group, and the incidence of complications was lower than that in the reference group(P<0.05).Conclusion When implementing HFNC in patients with AECOPD complicated with respiratory failure,multi-dimensional nursing under the goal-oriented strategy can not only improve the blood gas status of patients, accelerate their recovery, but also reduce the occurrence of complications, relieve their negative emotions, and enhance the comfort of patients.
