Abstract:Objective:To investigate the effect of high-flow nasal cannula oxygen therapy on patients with acute heart failure and its impact on bedside ultrasound diagnosis of cardiac function indicators. Methods:Ninety patients with acute heart failure who received high-flow nasal cannula oxygen therapy from August 2020 to November 2023 were randomly divided into a control group and a study group using random number table method, with 45 cases in each group. Both groups received drug therapy and high-flow nasal cannula oxygen therapy.During this period, the control group was assisted with continuous monitoring of pulse contour temperature diluted cardiac output, while the study group conducted combined monitoring using bedside ultrasound based on the monitoring method of the control group. The treatment effects of the two groups were compared.Observation data included blood gas analysis, serum test results, ultrasound parameters, assessment of degree of dyspnea, assessment of pain degree, clinical efficacy, and total incidence of complications. Results:After treatment, the blood oxygen saturation and arterial partial pressure of oxygen in the study group were higher than those in the control group, while the partial pressure of carbon dioxide was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The levels of C-reactive protein, troponin, and natriuretic peptide in the study group were lower than those in the control group after treatment(P<0.05).After treatment, the left ventricular end-systolic and end-diastolic diameters in the ultrasound parameters of the study group were lower than those of the control group, and the left ventricular ejection fraction was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The assessment scores of dyspnea and pain in the study group after treatment were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The overall clinical efficacy rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of complications such as electrolyte imbalance, lung disease, renal failure, and arrhythmia in the study group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:High-flow nasal cannula oxygen therapy can improve blood gas analysis and alleviate symptoms in patients with acute heart failure.During this period, bedside ultrasound examination can be used as an auxiliary tool to promote cardiac function recovery, improve dyspnea and pain symptoms, enhance clinical efficacy, and reduce complications.
