Nursing practice and curative effect observation of a case of Wagner grade 4 diabetic foot treated with personalized wound dressing change combined with hyperbaric oxygen

Abstract:Objective:To explore the therapeutic effect and nursing points of personalized wound dressing change combined with hyperbaric oxygen therapy(HBOT)on a patient with Wagner grade 4 diabetic foot.Methods:A 69-year-old patient with Wagner grade 4 diabetic foot was treated with HBOT(2.2ATA,100 min/time,10 times/course)on the basis of staged wound dressing change in combination with the hyperbaric oxygen department.At the same time,with the cooperation and management of the endocrine department,nutrition department and other departments,he was treated with regular debridement and dressing change,anti-infection,blood glucose regulation,nutritional support,psychological care and other treatments.Results:After 118 d of treatment,the wound completely healed and there were no abnormalities during the 3-month follow-up.Conclusion:HBOT combined with precise dressing change can significantly promote the wound healing of severe diabetic foot.Nursing should pay attention to the connection of treatment opportunity and dynamic monitoring of infection.
