Abstract:Objective:To explore the effect of high-flow nasal cannula oxygen therapy(HFNC)combined with refined nursing in patients with radiation pneumonia complicated with respiratory failure caused by thoracic radiotherapy. Methods:A total of 85 patients with radiation pneumonia complicated with respiratory failure caused by thoracic radiotherapy admitted to our hospital from December 2023 to December 2024 were selected as the research objects. The patients were divided into two groups by random number table method. The control group(n=43)was given HFNC treatment and routine nursing intervention, and the observation group(n=42)was given refined nursing on the basis of the control group. The arterial blood gas indicators and the incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results:The partial pressure of arterial oxygen(PaO2)and oxygenation index(OI)in the observation group were higher than those in the control group at 24 h and 48 h after oxygen therapy, while the partial pressure of arterial carbon dioxide(PaCO2)was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of complications of oxygen therapy in the observation group was 9.52%,which was lower than 27.91%in the control group(P<0.05).The General Comfort Questionnaire(GCQ)score of the observation group at 48 h of oxygen therapy was higher than that of the control group, and the oxygen therapy time and hospitalization time were shorter than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of HFNC combined with refined nursing has a definite therapeutic effect in patients with radiation pneumonia complicated with respiratory failure caused by thoracic radiotherapy, which can help to improve the arterial blood gas indicators of patients, improve the comfort of patients, reduce the related complications of oxygen therapy, and promote the early recovery of patients.
