Abstract:Objective:To explore the effect of exogenous nitric oxide(NO)in preventing postoperative deep vein thrombosis in elderly patients with hip fractures. Methods:Eighty elderly patients who underwent hip fracture surgery in our hospital from October 2022 to December 2024 were selected as the research subjects.According to the random number table method, they were divided into a control group(conventional prevention of deep vein thrombosis)and an observation group(control group combined with exogenous NO).The endothelial cell function, platelet function, and incidence of thrombosis between the two groups were compared. Results:After treatment, the activated protein C(APC)of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, while soluble intercellular adhesion molecule-1(sICAM-1)and von Willebrand factor(vWF)were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).Platelet glycoprotein Ⅱb/Ⅲa(GP Ⅱb/Ⅲa),platelet aggregation rate, and plasma P-selectin(P)CD62 in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of thrombosis in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Exogenous NO has a definite effect on preventing deep vein thrombosis in elderly patients with hip fractures. It can effectively improve endothelial function and platelet function, and reduce the risk of thrombosis.
