Abstract:Objective:To investigate the improvement effect and clinical application value of rehabilitation nursing combined with high-flow humidified oxygen therapy on respiratory function in elderly patients with acute cerebral infarction complicated with pulmonary infection. Methods:From March 2023 to January 2024,a total of 96 elderly patients with acute cerebral infarction complicated with pulmonary infection hospitalized in the Department of Neurology of our hospital were enrolled and divided into a control group and a combined group according to the random number table method, with 48 patients in each group. The control group received routine rehabilitation nursing combined with low-flow oxygen therapy, while the combined group received high-flow humidified oxygen therapy additionally.Observations were recorded on days 1,3,7,and 14 after intervention. The indicators such as respiratory rate(RR),oxygenation index(PaO2/FiO2),partial pressure of arterial oxygen(PaO2),partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PaCO2),pulmonary rale resolution time, length of hospital stay, and nursing satisfaction scores of the two groups of patients were compared before and after the intervention. Results:On day 7,PaO2 in the combined group was(91.36±5.74)mmHg,which was significantly higher than(81.28±6.03)mmHg in the control group(P=0.001).On the 7th day of intervention, the PaO2/FiO2 ratio was(312.87±23.15)in the combined group and(265.42±21.98)in the control group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.001).The pulmonary rale resolution time was(4.36±1.08)d in the combined group and(6.12±1.15)d in the control group(P<0.001).The average length of hospital stay was(9.28±2.11)d in the combined group and(11.94±2.37)d in the control group(P=0.003).The nursing satisfaction score was(93.21±4.07)points in the combined group and(85.16±5.33)points in the control group(P<0.001).Conclusion:Rehabilitation nursing combined with high-flow humidified oxygen therapy significantly improves oxygenation function, shortens recovery time of pulmonary symptoms and hospital stay, and enhances patient satisfaction in elderly patients with acute cerebral infarction complicated with pulmonary infection. This approach demonstrates high clinical application safety and strong operability, and is worthy of promotion in the management of critically ill elderly patients.
