Abstract:Objective:To explore the application of medical gas management assisted by mixed reality technology in clinical teaching of neurosurgery. Methods:According to the random number table method,120 trainees(undergraduate interns, standardized training doctors and rotating doctors)who had been trained in department of neurosurgery in our hospital from 2021 to 2023 were divided into study group(implementing medical gas management teaching assisted by mixed reality technology)and control group(implementing conventional medical gas management teaching),with 60 cases in each group. After completing the training of the two groups, theoretical and practical assessments were conducted, and satisfaction with the teaching methods was scored. Results:The study group had higher scores than the control group in terms of the basic concepts, types, emergency response plans, and the methods and operational skills of using medical gases in neurosurgery(P<0.05).The gas equipment operation scores and sudden failure operation scores of the study group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).The training satisfaction of the study group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:In the clinical teaching of neurosurgery, medical gas management assisted by mixed reality technology is beneficial for trainees to master the application of medical gases in neurosurgery, and is helpful for acquiring relevant knowledge and operational skills. It is worthy of promotion and application.
