Abstract:Objective:To explore the application effect of ozone hydrotherapy in the treatment of athlete's foot. Methods:A total of 134 patients with athlete's foot admitted to our hospital from June 2023 to June 2024 were included and divided into the observation group(n=68)and the control group(n=66)based on different treatment methods. The control group was treated with terbinafine hydrochloride cream, while the observation group was treated with ozone hydrotherapy based on the control group. The therapeutic effects, symptom relief time, adverse reactions,Dermatology Life Quality Index(DLQI)before and after treatment, fungal clearance rate after treatment, and recurrence rate after 3-month follow-up were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 97.06%,which was higher than 75.76%of the control group(P<0.05).The fungal clearance rate in the observation group after treatment was significantly higher than that in the control group, while the recurrence rate after 3 months of follow-up was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The remission time of the main symptoms in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group(P<0.05).The DLQI scores of both groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment, and the score of the observation group was even lower(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Ozone hydrotherapy can significantly improve the therapeutic effect of athlete's foot, shorten the time for symptom relief, reduce the recurrence rate of fungi, and has good safety.
