Abstract:Objective:To demonstrate the effect of bacterial filter on the safe discharge of medical vacuum exhaust gas. Methods:Twenty ordinary agar dishes with a diameter of 9 cm were selected and numbered l-20.Among them,No.1-10 were group A,and the colony number of exhaust gas discharge without bacterial filter was collected;Group B was No.11-20,and the colony number of exhaust gas discharge with bacterial filter was collected. The petri dishes were placed 30 cm away from the exhaust gas outlet and settled for 30 s.Then the dishes were sealed and sent to the microbiology laboratory. The colony number of the two groups was compared.T test was used for statistical analysis. If P value is less than 0.05,it is considered statistically significant. Results:The average colony number of group A was 5.6,and that of group B was 5.8(P<0.05).Conclusion:Bacterial filter plays an important role in the safe discharge of medical vacuum exhaust gas.
