Abstract:Climate change is a global public health issue of common concern, and the routine operation of medical and health institutions generates considerable greenhouse gas emissions, especially from operating room with intensive resources, high energy consumption and a large amount of medical waste, which will have a greater impact on the environment. The impact of anesthetic gas emissions on the environment is often overlooked. We analyze the impact of nitrous oxide(N2O)on the environment and offer some measures and suggestions to reduce the carbon footprint in medical institutions.
