Abstract:Cystitis glandularis(CG)is a benign hyperplastic and metaplastic lesion of the bladder mucosa, with an increasing incidence in recent years. It is characterized by a high recurrence rate after treatment, and certain pathological subtypes may progress to bladder cancer. The etiology of CG is complex, involving factors such as chronic inflammatory stimulation and lower urinary tract obstruction.Diagnosis remains challenging due to nonspecific clinical manifestations and similarity to other urological disorders. With advances in diagnostic technologies, management strategies are evolving toward precision and personalized approaches. This article systematically reviews recent progress in understanding the etiology, diagnostic criteria, and therapeutic strategies for CG,aiming to provide evidence-based guidance for clinical decision-making.
