Abstract:Objective To investigate the current demand for intelligent medical voice interaction technology among diabetic patients in cadres'sanatoriums, and to provide a theoretical basis for constructing a home-based health management platform for this population. Methods A self-designed demand questionnaire was developed using the literature meta-analysis method combined with expert consultation.Patients with type 2 diabetes from selected cadres'sanatoriums in several cities of Shaanxi Province were surveyed to understand their specific needs for intelligent voice interaction systems. Results The effective questionnaire response rate was 93.2%,and 37.6%of patients expressed willingness to try using the technology.Meanwhile, most patients had concerns about its use, with the main concerns including data security, recognition accuracy, and operational complexity. The top three functions in terms of demand rate were dietary guidance(96.1%),one-click safety hazard alarm(96.1%),and timed intelligent voice reminders(95.1%).Regarding the degree of demand, women had a significantly higher demand for continuity of care services than men(P<0.05).Patients with a monthly household income of 10000-15000 yuan and>15000 yuan had a significantly higher demand for health education guidance than those with an income of<10 000 yuan(P<0.05).Compared to patients with good family functioning, those with mild family dysfunction had a significantly higher demand for self-promotion(P<0.05).In addition, patients generally expected the technology to have functions such as minimalist operation, voice encryption protection, and dialect recognition. Conclusion Diabetic patients in cadres'sanatoriums have a relatively high overall demand for intelligent voice interaction technology.Hospitals and cadres'sanatoriums should leverage this technology, considering the physiological characteristics of elderly patients,to provide diversified, personalized, and systematic services such as diet management, medication, and safety alarms. This will help meet patient needs, improve their quality of life, and promote disease recovery.
