Abstract:Objective To explore the characteristics and influencing factors of heart and brain load of medium-and large-sized unmanned aerial vehicle(ML-UAV)operators stationed in western areas. Methods Electrocardiogram and electroencephalogram(EEG)were used to collect data of 10 ML-UAV operators stationed in western areas,10 non-drone operators stationed in western areas and 10 workers in non-western areas, and their EEG waveforms, spectral edge frequency-90,heart rate, heart rate variability, heart pressure index, sympathetic and parasympathetic excitability ratio and other parameters were detected to evaluate the heart and brain load status of subjects. At the same time, the form of questionnaire was used to analyze the potential factors affecting the heart and brain load of UAV operators, such as age, average sleep duration, amount of exercise, diet preference, whether to conduct memory training, anxiety and depression score. Results The brain load of ML-UAV operators stationed in western areas was relatively high(P<0.05),and lack of sleep was the potential influencing factor(P<0.05).The heart load of ML-UAV operators(P<0.05)and ground crew stationed in western areas(P<0.05)was relatively high, and the amount of exercise was a potential influencing factor(P<0.05).Conclusion ML-UAV operators stationed in western areas are affected by high mental load and harsh environment.Improving sleep quality and adjusting amount of exercise may help them to improve heart and brain health.
