Abstract：Phosgene,as a typical representative of choking agents,induces toxic pulmonary edema by damaging respiratory tract,leading to acute hypoxia and asphyxia in the body,and has extremely high lethality.The poisoning mechanism of phosgene is complex and not yet fully clear,and the lack of effective detoxifying drugs is a long-term challenge in the field of chemical defense medicine.This paper reviews the latest research progress on the mechanism of phosgene poisoning and drugs for prevention and treatment,with a focus on introducing the achievements of our research team in key technologies related to drugs for prevention and treatment and protective equipment.The research and application of the above-mentioned drugs and equipment will provide more comprehensive and effective protective measures for the military and civilians of our country,effectively ensuring the safety of people's lives.
