Abstract:Objective To explore the inhibitory effect of carrimycin on Mycobacterium tuberculosis in vitro and provide a theoretical basis for screening new anti-tuberculosis drugs. Methods Different concentration gradients of carrimycin were used in an in vitro co-culture system to act on the standard strains of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and the sensitive strains of Mycobacterium tuberculosis isolated and cultivated from clinical samples. The antibacterial effect of carrimycin on Mycobacterium tuberculosis was verified under both liquid culture and solid culture conditions.Fisher's exact test was used to analyze the differences in grouping factors. Results Carrimycin had a definite inhibitory effect on Mycobacterium tuberculosis in vitro, but it was significantly related to the concentration(P<0.05),with statistical difference. Conclusion Carrimycin has a definite in vitro activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis and can effectively inhibit the growth of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It can be further studied as a target drug for anti-tuberculosis drugs.
