Abstract:Objective To study the differential value of prostate-specific antigen(PSA),thioredoxin-1(Trx-1),prostatic exosomal protein(PSEP)and CXC chemokine ligand 16(CXCL16)in prostatitis and prostate cancer. Methods A total of 107 patients with prostate cancer admitted to Department of Urology,Ningbo Medical Center Li Huili Hospital from October 2021 to October 2024 were taken as the prostate cancer group, and 107 patients with prostatitis were taken as the prostatitis group during the same period. The clinical data, serum PSA,Trx-1 and urine PSEP and CXCL16 levels were compared between prostate cancer group and prostatitis group.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was used to analyze the differential value of serum PSA,Trx-1 and urine PSEP and CXCL16 in prostatitis and prostate cancer. The levels of serum PSA,Trx-1 and urine PSEP and CXCL16 in patients with prostate cancer with different clinicopathological features were analyzed. Results Serum PSA and Trx-1 levels in prostate cancer group were higher than those in prostatitis group, while urine PSEP and CXCL16 levels were lower than those in prostatitis group(P<0.01).Patients in prostate cancer group were taken as positive cases and patients in prostatitis group were taken as negative controls.ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the curve of serum PSA,Trx-1 and urine PSEP and CXCL16 in predicting prostatitis and prostate cancer was higher than that of the four alone(P<0.01).Compared with patients with well-differentiated and stage Ⅰ prostate cancer, patients with moderately differentiated, poorly differentiated, stage Ⅱ and Ⅲ prostate cancer had higher serum PSA and Trx-1 levels, patients with poorly differentiated and stage Ⅲ prostate cancer had the highest levels, and urine PSEP and CXCL16 levels were even lower, among which patients with poorly differentiated and stage Ⅲ prostate cancer had the lowest levels.Compared with patients without lymph node metastasis, patients with prostate cancer with lymph node metastasis had higher serum PSA and Trx-1 levels, and lower urine PSEP and CXCL16 levels(P<0.01).Conclusion Combined examination of PSA,Trx-1,PSEP and CXCL16 can improve the differential value of prostatitis and prostate cancer, and PSA,Trx-1,PSEP and CXCL16 are closely related to the clinical differentiation, clinical staging and lymph node metastasis of patients with prostate cancer.
