Abstract:Premature ovarian insufficiency(POI)is a condition in which a woman develops premature ovarian function decline, which not only reduces the patient's fertility, but also brings about a series of menopausal clinical symptoms, and adversely affects the woman's reproductive and psychological health. The etiology of more than half of POI patients is unknown, and factors such as autoimmune diseases, genetics, and stress may be causative factors, with autoimmune factors accounting for a higher proportion of POI patients, which deserves our attention.Studies have shown that the production of autoimmune antibodies, imbalance of pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory factors, and lymphocyte disorders all play key roles in the pathogenesis of POI,and POI may be associated with certain autoimmune diseases, such as autoimmune Addison's disease and autoimmune polyendocrinopathy syndrome. At present, the immunological intervention and other therapeutic methods for POI are still under active exploration.By summarizing the relevant studies on POI and autoimmunity in recent years, this article hopes to provide reference for the reproductive immune mechanism of POI and develop ideas for clinical treatment.
