Abstract:G protein-coupled estrogen receptor(GPER),also known as G protein-coupled receptor 30,is a novel estrogen receptor. In male individuals,GPER is also widely distributed in multiple tissues, including the cardiovascular system, reproductive system, and nervous system.GPER binds to estrogen and other ligands for rapid signal transduction and transcriptional regulation, and plays an important role in pathological processes such as ventricular remodeling, blood pressure regulation, and atherosclerosis. This article mainly reviews the role of GPER in cardiovascular diseases in male.
