Abstract:Objective To explore the effects of intermittent hypoxia exposure on the exercise behavior ability of animals under acute hypoxia conditions. Methods Forty 6-week-old male C57BL/6J mice were randomly divided into four groups(n=10):C0 group,CH group,H1 group, and H2 group. After 7 d of preconditioning, the CH,H1 and H2 groups were exposed to acute hypoxia at 5 000 m for 2 h,and anxiety, exercise capacity, and activities of creatine kinase(CK)and lactate dehydrogenase(LDH)were measured. Results Compared with C0 group, acute high-altitude hypoxia caused an increase in anxiety levels(P<0.05),a decrease in exercise time and distance(P<0.05),and an increase in CK and LDH activities in CH group(P<0.05).Compared with CH group without preconditioning, hypoxia preconditioning reduced the anxiety level of mice during acute high-altitude hypoxia, increased the time and distance of exercise, and decreased the activities of CK and LDH(P<0.05).Conclusion Hypoxia preconditioning has an improvement effect on the formation of anxiety, exercise endurance, and myocardial injury in acute high-altitude hypoxia.
