New progress in multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment of glioma

Abstract:Glioma,being the most prevalent primary central nervous system tumor,is notable for its elevated malignancy and typically unfavorable prognosis.The protracted course of the disease is often accompanied by severe consciousness impairment and dysfunction,thus exerting considerable pressure on families and posing a significant burden to society.How to improve the quality of survival and prognosis of patients with glioma has been an urgent challenge for clinicians.Multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment(MDT)model is considered to be an effective solution to this problem,and its individualised diagnosis and treatment plan can bring the greatest clinical benefits to patients,changing the traditional concepts in the process of glioma treatment.With the advancement of new technologies in the diagnosis,treatment and care of glioma,MDT model has been recognized by more and more hospitals and experts.
