Abstract:Objective To study the level of frailty and influencing factors of elderly migraine patients,in order to provide reference for comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of elderly migraine patients. Methods From January 2022 to February 2023,242 elderly patients with migraine aged ≥ 60 years in the Third Affiliated Hospital of Qiqihar Medical University were collected as the elderly migraine group, while 242 healthy individuals in the Department of Physical Examination in the hospital during the same period were selected as the healthy control group.General clinical data were collected and the level of frailty, sleep quality, nutritional risk, headache severity, and disability of subjects were evaluated by Tilburg Frailty Indicator,Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index,Nutrition Risk Screening 2002,Numeric Rating Scale, and Migraine Disability Assessment. Results Compared with the healthy control group, elderly migraine patients had higher frailty scores[(4.16±1.79)vs(7.38±2.73),t=3.976,P<0.001]and sleep quality scores[(5.90±2.92)vs(9.65±3.51),t=2.810,P<0.001],The incidence of frailty in elderly migraine patients was 79.75%.Univariate analysis showed that the influencing factors for the level of frailty in elderly migraine patients were age(F=35.91,P<0.001),BMI(F=9.734,P<0.001),frequency of exercise(F=20.183,P<0.001),number of underlying diseases(F=8.537,P=0.006),albumin level(F=3.579,P<0.001),nutritional risk(t=3.485,P<0.001),disability score(F=33.05,P<0.001),pain severity(F=30.602,P<0.001),course of disease(F=25.174,P<0.001),and sleep quality(F=18.414,P<0.001).Multiple linear regression showed that the main risk factors for frailty in elderly migraine patients were age(P<0.001),frequency of exercise(P=0.002),number of underlying diseases(P=0.009),albumin level(P<0.001),nutritional risk(P=0.005),disability score(P<0.001),pain severity(P<0.001),course of disease(P=0.001),and sleep quality(P=0.004).Conclusion The incidence of frailty in elderly migraine patients is relatively high.High frequency of exercise and high albumin levels are protective factors for frailty in elderly migraine patients, while elderly migraine patients with high age,a large number of underlying diseases, high nutritional risk, high degree of disability, severe headache, long duration of headache, and poor sleep quality are more prone to frailty.
