Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of noninvasive monitoring of different body postures on the proportion of local pulmonary perfusion based on electrical impedance tomography(EIT).Methods Six anesthetized domestic pigs were selected for EIT monitoring in the supine and prone positions. The reconstruction value of lung region in the EIT image obtained by pulsation method was quantitatively analyzed, and the proportion of pulmonary perfusion in the four regions of intra-abdominal,extra-abdominal,intra-dorsal and extra-dorsal was obtained by four-layer method. Finally, hypertonic saline angiography was used as the standard for comparison verification. Results There was significant difference in the proportion of pulmonary perfusion in the ventromedial side(P<0.001),but no significant difference in the ventral and ventrolateral side. However, there were significant differences in both dorsomedial(P<0.017)and dorsolateral side(P<0.008).Finally,the results of the pulsation method and the hypertonic saline method for monitoring the effects of different postural changes on pulmonary perfusion were tested for consistency, with Kappa=0.684 and P<0.001,which indicated that the results obtained by the two methods were consistent. Conclusion The monitoring results show that postural changes affect the proportion of pulmonary perfusion distribution, which lays the foundation for the clinical study of noninvasive monitoring of local pulmonary perfusion by EIT.
