Abstract:Bacterial adhesion to the surface of implants in the early stage is one of the important pathogenic factors in peri-implantitis.The impact of different surface treatments on bacterial adhesion varies significantly. This paper analyzes the formation mechanisms and influencing factors of biofilms, explores the effect of different surface characteristics such as smooth titanium,sandblasted,large-grit,acid-etched surfaces, and anodic oxidation on bacterial adhesion and biofilm formation.Additionally, the paper introduces the influence of physical and biological surface modification techniques on enhancing antibacterial performance of implants.By exploring the efficacy of various surface treatment techniques in inhibiting the formation of these biofilms, this paper provides a scientific basis for optimizing implant design and enhancing the safety of clinical application.
