Abstract:Classic posterior cervical spine surgery includes hemilaminectomy or total laminectomy, laminoplasty, enlarged laminoplasty, etc.,but there are shortcomings such as large amount of blood loss, many complications, and slow postoperative recovery. In the past decade, with the popularization of minimally invasive concepts and endoscopic techniques, spine surgeons have paid more and more attention to minimally invasive surgery for the treatment of cervical spondylosis. The technologies have developed from the initial microendoscope to channel microscopy, and then to the widely used percutaneous endoscopy and dual-channel endoscopy technology in recent years. In addition, the development of diagnostic technologies such as MRI nerve root imaging technology,ultrasound-guided spinal nerve block,as well as computer-guided assisted technology,full-visualized trephine, microscopic ultrasonic bone knife, microscopic grinding and drilling, and microscopic laser also provides convenience for posterior minimally invasive surgery for cervical spondylosis.Minimally invasive surgery not only effectively decompresses, but also shows the advantages of less trauma, lower blood loss, and shorter postoperative recovery time. This article reviews the progress of posterior minimally invasive surgery for cervical spondylosis.
