Abstract：This paper reviews the development and application of iron supplements based on iron deficiency anemia(IDA)in recent years,providing new ideas for the development and clinical selection of iron supplements.The different stages of IDA,the selection of types of iron supplements,indications and adverse reactions are mainly introduced.Some iron supplements in the stage of clinical research are also introduced.With the development of anti-anemia research,the research hotspots will focus on the utilization of plants,microorganisms and marine organisms,and other resources,and it is expected to develop a new iron supplement with safer medication,higher absorption and utilization,and faster onset time.
