Problems and countermeasures in the use of new technical terms in bio-medical Chinese journals

Abstract：New technical terms play an important role in the communication of new science and technology. In this paper, taking terms related to CRISPER/Cas9 technology as an example, the problems in the use of new technical terms in bio-medical Chinese journals were analyzed, including casual selection of Chinese translation, overuse of alphabetic words and inappropriate annotation. At the same time, countermeasures were proposed, so as to draw attention from authors and journal editors, promote correct and standardized use of new technical terms and further improve the quality of scientific journals.
