Abstract:"No Pain Labor & Delivery in China" is a not-for-profit medical activity launched by the Northwestern University of America in 2006. The program focuses on correcting the unnecessary high cesarean delivery rate and improving the poor utilization of neuraxial labor analgesia in China, as well as improving the maternal, fetal and neonatal safety. Therefore, is the sooner the labor analgesia, the better? Hereto, it was proposed that the early use of neuraxial labor analgesia would prolong the labor and increase cesarean delivery rate and forceps delivery rate, and that, the fetus must have an adverse reaction after the use of "anesthetic". To find out the truth, we observed the effect of neuraxial labor analgesia on the outcome of childbirth during the incubation and active periods of the first stage of labor, and the results suggested that the analgesia of childbirth should rather than start from the active period.
