My view on "genuine qi" research by academician Zhu Qingshi

Abstract：Academician Zhu Qingshi made a research report on "genuine qi" at the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, which aroused a heated debate in the scientific and technological circles. It is legal for an academician to make academic reports in a university to discuss the "genuine qi" problem, which should not be interfered. However, we think the results, conclusions and academic views of the study need to be confirmed. From the medical, philosophical and religious angles, the understanding of "genuine qi" is different. We suggest demonstrating the objective existence of "genuine qi" by scientific, objective, quantitative and repeatable researches, and making an in-depth and systematic scientific research to make clear what is the "genuine qi" in traditional Chinese medicine theory as well as its significance in health care, disease prevention and treatment.
