Abstract:This case report described a female patient with a double-pedunculated myxoma in the left atrium.Transthoracic echocardiography revealed a solid mass with limited mobility. However,it was insufficient to differentiate it from a thrombus or determine its benign or malignant nature.Further evaluation using contrast echocardiography and semi-quantitative myocardial analysis demonstrated low perfusion and delayed enhancement, suggesting a high likelihood of a benign tumor. After multidisci-plinary consultation, surgical resection was performed, and pathological examination confirmed myxoma.Double-pedunculated myxomas of the left atrium are rare.Contrast echocardiography can assess the blood supply of intracardiac lesions, aiding in the differentiation between thrombus and benign or malignant tumors. In this case, imaging findings supported the selection of the in-teratrial groove approach, avoiding right atrial incision and enabling successful tumor resection with minimal cardiac trauma.
