Abstract:Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of oral contrast CT examination, upper gastrointestinal contrast ex-amination and non-oral contrast CT examination in gastrointestinal fistula. Methods A total of 20 patients with suspected diges-tive tract fistula were selected from our hospital, all patients were examined using three methods. We analyzed these patients'clinical symptoms, signs and image images. The results of endoscopy or follow-up were used as the gold standard for diagnosing gastrointestinal fistula. Results The sensitivity of oral contrast CT examination, upper gastrointestinal contrast examination and non-oral contrast CT examination in diagnosing gastrointestinal fistula were 88.9%,44.4%and 66.7%,the specificity was 100%,90.9%and 100%,and the accuracy was 95.0%,70.0%and 85.0%,respectively.The accuracy from high to low was oral contrast CT examination,non-oral contrast CT examination and upper gastrointestinal contrast examination. The accuracy difference between oral contrast CT examination and upper gastrointestinal contrast examination was statistically significant(P<0.05),while,there was no statistical significance in the accuracy of oral contrast CT examination and non-oral contrast CT ex-amination,and upper gastrointestinal contrast examination with non-oral contrast CT examination(P>0.05).Conclusion Oral contrast CT examination is superior to upper gastrointestinal contrast examination and non-oral contrast CT examination in the diagnosis of gastrointestinal fistula, which is an accurate and efficient examination method with high sensitivity and high specificity.
