Abstract:Objective To investigate the value of ultrasonography in differential diagnosis of invasive lobular carcinoma(ILC)and invasive ductal carcinoma(IDC).Methods The ultrasonographic features and clinical manifestations of 144 pa-tients with ILC and 144 patients with IDC confirmed by histopathology were retrospectively reviewed.Differential diagnosis was performed. Results Compared with IDC,the age of onset of ILC is later. The lesions mostly show the following signs:non-mass type,multi-focal and multi-center,uneven internal echo,no change or attenuation of rear echo, less abnormal lymph nodes and higher classification of BI-RADS.The accuracy of ultrasonographic diagnosis of ILC is higher. Conclusion ILC has certain ul-trasonographic features.Comprehensive analysis of the age of onset and clinical manifestations of the patients is helpful in di ff erential diagnosis ILC from IDC.
