Investigation of the cardiac MRI manifestations of Fabry disease

Abstract：Objective To investigate the cardiac MR manifestations of Fabry disease and to understand the effect of Fabry disease on cardiac tissue,so as to improve the diagnostic efficiency of Fabry disease.Methods The cardiac MR manifestations of 19 patients diagnosed with Fabry disease in the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University were retrospectively analyzed.Results Among the 19 patients,15 patients developed myocardial hypertrophy,including 9 cases of symmetric hypertrophy,6 cases of asymmetric hypertrophy,and 7 cases of hypertrophy occurred in the ventricular septum,and the rest was located at the apex and base.One case had outflow tract obstruction.Delayed enhancement occurred in 6 cases,and initial T1 mapping de-creased in 4 cases.Conclusion Cardiac MR in patients with Fabry disease is mostly manifested as diffuse thickening of the left ventricle and the delayed strengthening of myocardium is not typical enough,and the enhancement is mainly intermuscular strengthening.
