Abstract:Objective To explore the diagnostic efficacy, safety and radiation reduction of low-dose CT-guided percutaneous pancreatic puncture biopsy. Methods A total of 126 patients who underwent CT-guided percutaneous pancreatic biopsy in our Hospital were selected.According to the CT scanning technical parameters, the patients were divided into a conventional dose group(84 mAs)with 47 cases and a low dose group(30 mAs)with 79 cases. The diagnostic efficacy, complication rate,radia-tion dose and image quality of the two groups were compared. Results The puncture accuracy, sensitivity, specificity and com-plication rate of the low-dose group were 93.7%(74/79),93.6%(73/78),100%(1/1)and 7.6%(6/79),respectively,which were not significantly different from those of 89.4%(42/47),91.1%(41/45),100%(2/2)and 6.4%(3/47)in the conventional-dose group(P>0.05).The average dose-length product(DLP)and effective dose(ED)of the low-dose group were lower than the conventional group, with significant differences(P<0.05).The image noise value of the low-dose group was higher than that of the conventional group, and the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)and contrast-noise ratio(CNR)were lower than those of the con-ventional group, with significant differences(P<0.05).The subjective scores of the images in both groups were≥2 points, and the consistency of the scores between observers was good(Kappa=0.762),and the image quality could meet the puncture requirements. Conclusion The use of low-dose CT-guided percutaneous pancreatic biopsy can significantly reduce the radia-tion dose, without affecting the diagnostic efficiency of puncture and increasing the incidence of complications, which deserves popularization.
