Abstract:Objective To explore the diagnostic efficacy of MRI qualitive and quantitative indicators in different grades of oligodendroglioma(OG).Methods Preoperative imaging data of OG confirmed by pathology and genetic testing were selected. The differences of qualitive(disease location,T2 signal intensity, enhanced morphology)and quantitative MRI indicators,i.e.,edema index(EI),contrast enhancement ratio(CER),and metabolic ratios of 1H-MRS,were compared between low-grade and high-grade OG.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves were plotted by the variables with between-group difference for the assessment of diagnostic efficacy. Results 80 patients were divided in two groups,i.e.,group of grade 2 with 51 patients and groups of grade 3 with 29 patients. There were no significant differences in terms of age,sex,location,Cho/Cr,Cho/NAA,and NAA/Cr between the two groups(P>0.05).There were statistically differences of T2 signal intensity(P=0.002),enhanced mor-phology(P<0.001),LL/Cr(P=0.01),EI(P=0.009),and CER(P<0.001)between low-and high-grade OG.The sensitivity, specificity and area under the curve were 84.6%,83.3%and 0.833 respectively by combination of LL/Cr with CER for the grad-ing of OG.Conclusion Qualitive and quantitative MRI indicators have relatively high diagnostic value for differentiation be-tween low-grade and high-grade OG.
