Abstract:Objective To investigate the impact of interventional therapy combined with conventional therapy on the time of hemoptysis cessation and the recurrence rate in patients with massive hemoptysis. Methods Fifty patients with massive hemop-tysis admitted and diagnosed in our hospital from January 2020 to December 2023 were selected and randomly divided into con-trol group(conventional therapy,n=25)and observation group(conventional therapy+peripheral vascular interventional therapy,n=25).The clinical efficacy, stopping time of hemoptysis, frequency of hemoptysis, quality of life, adverse reactions, and recurrence rate were evaluated. Results The total clinical effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).After operation, the stopping time and frequency of hemoptysis in the observation group were signifi-cantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Compared with the pre-operation,the score of the MOS 36-item short-form health survey(SF-36)in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the incidence of adverse reactions and recurrence of disease in the observation group were lower(P<0.05).Conclusion Interventional therapy combined with conventional therapy is effective in the treatment of patients with massive hemoptysis, which can effec-tively shorten the stopping time of hemoptysis, reduce the frequency of hemoptysis, the incidence of adverse reactions, and the recurrence rate of disease,as well as improve the quality of life.
