Abstract:Objective To explore the imaging value of tuberous sclerosis(Tuberous sclerosis complex TSC)combined with multiple system involvement. Methods The clinical and imaging data of 20 patients with tuberous sclerosis clinically diag-nosed were selected to analyze and summarize the clinical and imaging characteristics of tuberous sclerosis. Results 10(50%)of 20 patients with tuberous sclerosis showed cortical and subcortical nodules, and imaging mainly showed the shadow of nodules with different density(signal)distributed under the frontoparietal cortex.16 cases(80%)of subependymal nodules, except 2 cases of non-calcified nodules, all showed multiple calcified nodules with varying sizes of asymmetric distribution.2 cases(10%)of Subependymal astrocytoma with hydrocephalus showed mixed T1 longer T2 signal near the foramen of Monro,FLAIR sequence with high signal,DWI with slightly limited and uneven enhancement, dilated water of the lateral ventricle, and signifi-cant ipsilateral ventricle.9 cases(45%)with renal angiomyolipoma, except for one case of double renal normal appearance,un-clear appearance, replaced by a large amount of fat density, all showed a clear boundary or uneven fat density.2 cases(10%)of liver angiomyolipoma all showed well-defined fat density.7 cases(35%)with focal osteosclerosis showed increased nodular bone density with multiple sizes of bilateral ribs, spinal vertebrae and accessories, and parts of pelvic. Conclusion Multisystemic involvement of TSC is diverse, but it has certain characteristics.Familiarity with the imaging manifestations of different system is helpful to improve the diagnosis of TSC and to provide a basis for clinical treatment.
