Abstract:Objective To evaluate CT and MRI features in the clivus tumors and tumors-like lesions so as to improve the di-agnosis and understanding of the disease. Methods The CT and MRI data of 27cases of the clivus tumors and tumors-like le-sions confirmed by pathology were retrospectively analyzed, including the location, shape, size,CT and MRI features, the method and degree of enhancement. Results Among the 27 tumors,15 were primary tumors, including 8 chordomas,3 chon-drosarcomas,1 lymphoma,1 fibrous dysplasia of bone,1 giant cell tumor, and 1 osteochondroma.12 were secondary tumors, including 5 nasopharyngeal carcinomas,3 invasive pituitary adenomas and 4 meningiomas. Conclusion CT is significantly su-perior to MRI in displaying calcification and bone destruction, while MRI can well demonstrate the size, shape and extension of the tumor, and the combination of CT and MRI is conducive to improving the diagnosis of the tumor.
