Abstract:Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of radiofrequency ablation(RFA)with contrast-enhanced ultra-sound in the treatment of benign thyroid nodules. Methods A total of 125 patients who received RFA for benign thyroid nod-ules were selected, including 65 patients who were treated with contrast media and 60 patients who were subject to the conven-tional ultrasound.Evaluation indicators included the complete ablation rate of thyroid nodules, changes in nodule volume, and other indicators. Results Thyroid nodules were hyperechoic and enhanced before surgery, and there was no echo after surgery, and there was no contrast agent. The overall remission rate of thyroid nodules treated with contrast was better than that of the con-ventional ultrasound. Conclusion RFA with contrast-enhanced ultrasound is superior to conventional ultrasound for the treat-ment of benign thyroid nodules.
