Abstract:Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of MRI combined with mammography in breast lesions showing cal-cification without mass on mammography. Methods The imaging features of 139 patients(142 lesions)who were diagnosed with breast calcification without mass by MG,and mass-like enhancement on the MRI was retrospectively analyzed based on the pathological results, the statistically significant signs of univariate analysis were included in the multivariate logistic regression analysis. The regression model of MG,MRI and combined examination was established. Results The morphology of calcifica-tion and accompanying signs,margin,time-signal intensity curve(TIC)and apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC)were indepen-dent predictors of benign and malignant calcification in the model of combined examination. The area under the curve(AUC)of MG,MRI and combined examination was 0.793,0.894 and 0.928,respectively.Combined examination was significantly supe-rior to MG alone(P<0.05).Conclusion For breast lesions showing calcification without mass on mammography,MG com-bined with MRI can significantly improve the diagnostic accuracy.
