Diagnostic value of chest CT plain scan in incidental congenital vascular ring

Abstract：Objective To explore the value of chest CT plain scan in the diagnosis of incidental congenital vascular ring.Methods 56 cases with mediastinal vascular malformation who underwent chest CT plain scan were retrospectively analyzed.The diagnosis and classification of congenital vascular ring were made according to the CT findings.Results Among the 56 cases,there were 5 cases of double aortic arch,20 cases of left aortic arch with aberrant right subclavian artery,13 cases of right aortic arch with mirror branch,and 18 cases with right aortic arch and aberrant left subclavian artery and Kommerell diverticu-lum.Conclusion Chest CT plain scan can detect and classify the occasional congenital vascular ring.
