Abstract:Objective To explore the value of 18F-deoxyglucose(18F-FDG)positron emission computed tomography(PET/CT)combined with carcinoem-bryonic antigen(CEA)in diagnosing the degree of differentiation in colorectal cancer.Meth-ods A total of 85 patients with colorectal cancer from hospitals from March 2019 to December 2023 were selected as the study subjects. All patients underwent 18F-FDG PET/CT and CEA examinations, with endoscopic biopsy or postoperative pathological findings as the gold standard, and the value of 18F-FDG PET/CT,CEA alone, and combined diagnosis of colorec-tal cancer was explored through receiver characteristic curve(ROC).Results Endoscopic biopsy or postoperative pathologi-cal diagnosis showed that among 85 patients with colorectal cancer, there were 60 cases of colon cancer and 25 cases of rectal cancer;38 cases were highly differentiated,26 cases were moderately differentiated, and 21 cases were poorly differentiated. The comparison of SUVmax and CEA values among patients with colorectal cancer of different degrees of differentiation showed that low differentiation>moderate differentiation>high differentiation(P<0.05).ROC curves were drawn, and the results showed that the area under the curve(AUC)values of 18F-FDG PET/CT and CEA parameters alone and in combination for di-agnosing the degree of differentiation of colorectal cancer were 0.768,0.810,and 0.862,respectively,with the highest com-bined diagnostic value. Conclusion The combination of 18F-FDG PET/CT and CEA has high value in diagnosing the degree of differentiation of colorectal cancer, which can provide reference for the clinical diagnosis of the degree of differentiation of colorectal cancer.
