Abstract:Objective By analyzing the differences in the MRI findings of clear cell renal cell carcinoma(CCRCC)with and without hypertension,we explored the effect of hypertension on CCRCC progression. Methods We retrospectively collected and analyzed the MRI images and clinical data of the 110 patients confirmed by surgery and pathology.ITK SNAP 3.8 software was used to delineate the lesions layer by layer. The delineated sequences were cortical phase, medullary phase and excretion phase, and the sequence with the highest signal value was selected as the most obvious phase of enhanced scanning.Patients with a his-tory of hypertension were included in the hypertension group and never diagnosed with hypertension as the non-hypertension group. The clinical data and MRI characteristics were compared and analyzed between the two groups. Results The most obvi-ous phase of enhancement was more likely to occur in the cortical phase in hypertensive group and in the medullary phase in non-hypertensive group. There was a statistical difference(P<0.05).The patients of hypertension group were older and tended to males than that of non-hypertension group(P<0.05).In the Fuhrman grade of tumors, there were more grade I tumors in the non-hypertensive group(P=0.044).Other clinical traits, such as the pathologicaland imaging characteristics, tumor size, and etc.had no significant differences between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Among CCRCC patients, the most obvious phase of CCRCC enhancement with hypertension appears earlier, suggesting that it may contain more abundant microvessels.
