Abstract:Objective To investigate the value of gastrointestinal filling ultrasound in predicting lymph node metastasis in early gastric cancer(EGC).Methods 63 patients with EGC who underwent gastrointestinal filling contrast-enhanced ultra-sound examinationwere collected and were diagnosed by gastroscopy and confirmed by postoperative pathology. The area of inter-est(ROI)of the lesion and surrounding normal gastric wall was drawn, the peak intensity(PKI)and rise time(RT)of the lesion-were obtained and patients were divided into lymph node metastasis group N1(31 cases)and non lymph node metastasis group N0(32 cases)based on postoperative pathological results andthe differences in contrast-enhanced ultrasound parametersand their relationship with lymphnode metastasis were compared between the two groups. Results Compared with the groupN0 of EGC patients, there was no significant difference in general information and depth of lesion infiltration among the group N1of EGC patients(P>0.05).The PKI value of the lesion in the groupN1 of EGC patients was higher than that in the groupN0,while,the RT value was shorter than that in the groupN0,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).PKI and RT val-ues predicted that the area under the Receiver operating characteristic of lymph node metastasis in EGC patients was 0.930 and 0.762,respectively.Conclusion Gastrointestinal filling contrast has certain diagnostic value for the non-invasive quantitative evaluation of lymph node metastasis in patients with EGC before surgery.
