Abstract:Objective To identify the main factors affecting the quality of liver magnetic resonance elastography(MRE)in patients with Budd-Chiari syndrome(BCS).Methods 59 patients with BCS diagnosed by DSA were selected. All patients un-derwent MRE.MRE image quality was independently analyzed by two radiologists and divided into high-and low-quality group.Gender, body weight, body mass index(BMI),liver fat content, liver iron content, ascites and abdominal collateral circulation-were included as factors. The consistency of MRE image quality evaluation by two doctors was analyzed by kappa test.Univariate analysis and logistic regression analysis were used to determine the decisive factors affecting liver MREin BCS patients.Re-sults The evaluation of MRE image quality was highly consistent among observers(kappa = 0.872).Univariate analysis showed that there were differences in BMI,liver fat fraction, liver iron deposition, ascites and abdominal varicose veins.Multivariate lo-gistic regression analysis showed that BMI(P = 0.015,OR = 1.888),ascites(P = 0.001,OR = 7.100)and abdominal varices(P = 0.005,OR = 4.409)were significant indexes affecting imaging quality. Conclusion BMI,ascites and abdominal varices are the main factors affecting the image quality of liver MRE in patients with BCS.
