Abstract:Objective To explore the correlation between the clinical data,CT features and pathological characteristics of lung cancer associated with cystic airspaces so as to get a better understanding of this disease and to improve the diagnostic accu-racy.Methods A total of 146 cases of lung cancers associated with cystic airspaces confirmed by pathology were selected. Then,we statistically compared their clinical data,CT imaging characteristics and histopathological results, and analyzed the correlation between the clinical pathology and radiological features of the four types. Results Among the 146 cases,107 were male and 39 were female;141 were adenocarcinoma and 5 were squamous cell carcinoma;28 were type Ⅰ,24 were type Ⅱ,and 56 were type Ⅲ and 38 were type Ⅳ.According to the solid component of the lesion, histological invasiveness of the four types could be predicted.Separations in cyst of type Ⅰ,solid component in nodule of type Ⅲ,solid component in lesion of type Ⅳ,and mean CT value were significantly correlated with tumor invasiveness. Conclusion Solid component of lesion in lung cancers associated with cystic airspaces is an important predictor of tumor aggressiveness.Knowing the characteristics of lesions is conducive to early diagnosis and improving diagnostic accuracy.
