Abstract:Objective To evaluate the clinical value of MRI three-dimension brain volume imaging(3DBRAVO)enhanced scanning sequence in patients with brain metastases. Methods Retrospective analysis was performed on 30 cases of brain me-tastasis with enhanced MRI scan.3DBravo sequence scan was performed first, followed by two dimension spin echo(2DSE)se-quence scan. The detected numbers of the two groups were recorded according to different locations and compared. Results A total of 91 lesions were detected by 3DBravo,including 38 subtentorial and 53 supratentorial lesions(8 superficial brain lesions and 45 deep brain lesions).A total of 57 lesions were detected by conventional 2DSE,including 13 subatentorial and 44 supra-tentorial lesions(5 superficial brain lesions and 39 deep brain lesions). There were statistically significant differences between the two scanning sequences(P<0.05),and the 3DBravo sequences were all higher than 2DSE.Conclusion 3DBravo en-hanced scanning sequence has important clinical application value in the detection of brain metastases, especially, subtentorial brain metastases. The image quality and the ability to detect lesions are greatly improved.
