Abstract:Objective To explore the echocardiography and the clinical characteristics of subaortic stenosis caused by congenital subaortic membrane. Methods Four hundred patients with subaortic membrane, of whom 153 were no hemodynamic significance, were retrospectively studied from December 2006 to December 2016. All the patients were examined by transthoracic echocardiography preoperatively and confirmed by cardiac surgery. Results 98.7% (395 cases) were consistent with operative results. 1.3% (5 cases) were misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis.Only 7.0% (28 cases) were pure subaortic membrane without other cardiac malformation, while 93.0% (372 cases) were combined. Conclusion Combined the two-dimensional and hemodynamic analysis, the subaortic membrane diagnosis can be made clearly.
