Observation of the curative effect of 125I seed implantation for the treatment of recurrent non-small cell lung cancer after radiation and chemotherapy

Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of 125I seed implantation in the treatment of recurrent non-small cell lung cancer after radiation and chemotherapy. Methods 14 patients of recurrent non-small cell lung cancer after radiation and chemotherapy were treated with 125I seed implantation, postoperative complications were observed, and 2 months 125I seed implantation, the effect was evaluated by CT imaging. Results All the 14 patients completed the implantation at one time, and postoperative complications mainly included puncture bleeding, pneumothorax and so on. The effective rate of treatment was 7.1%, 42.9%, 64.3% and 78.6%, respectively. On the second month, 4 th month, 6 th month and 12 th month after implantation, the 1-year survival rate was 85.7%. Conclusion 125I seed implantation is safe and effective in the treatment of recurrent non-small cell lung cancer after radiation and chemotherapy, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
