Abstract:Objective To analyze the CT findings of secondary pulmonary fungal infection in children with leukemia,so as to improve the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of it. Methods We conducted a retrospective analysis of 15 childhood with leukemia secondary to pulmonary fungal infection, including 10 cases of pulmonary aspergillosis,2 cases of candidiasis,3 cases of Cryptococci infection. Then,we analysed and summarized the CT features of pulmonary lesions, including lesion number, distribution, morphology, and dynamic change. Results In secondary pulmonary fungal infection of children with leukemia, most of the lesions were multiple; most of the lesions were distributed in the middle and distal regions of lung field, and the Cryptococci nodules could be clustered; the morphology was diverse and most of the lesions were nodular or mass with different sizes and accompanied by special signs, including halo sign for 80%,air crescent sign for 46. 7%,small cavity in the lesion for 40%,small shadow in the cavity for 33. 3%,and empty bubbles in the cavity 33. 3%. The dynamic changes of the lesions were obvious. Conclusion CT examination was helpful for the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of pulmonary fungal infection in children with leukemia; therefore,it was of great importance in clinical application value.
