Abstract:Objective To explore the imaging characteristics so as to improve the diagnosis of the disease. Methods We retrospectively assessed 26 patients with GC confirmed surgically and pathologically. Results In 26 cases of GC patients,19 cases were type I,7 cases were type Ⅱ. The diseases diffusely infiltrated, involved at least 3 lobes, preserved underlying brain architecture. The main involvement location was white matter, then it also involved thalamus, midbrain, brainstem and son on. 7 cases of type ⅡGC,3 focal neoplastic masses were confirmed anaplastic astrocytoma,3 focal neoplastic masses were confirmed glioblastoma,2 cases of the 3 anaplastic astrocytoma were in the frontal lobe,1 case of the 3 in the hippocampus / parahippocampal gyrus, all the 4 glioblastoma located in the hippocampus hippocampus / parahippocampal gyrus. The rCBV of perfusion weighted magnetic resonance imaging (PWI) of typeⅠGC was slightly lower than the contralateral normal brain tissue, magnetic resonance imaging (MRS) Cho /NAA increased slightly, generally less than 2. The rCBV of perfusion weighted magnetic resonance imaging (PWI) of typeⅡGC was significantly higher than that of the contralateral normal brain tissue, the focal neoplastic mass's MRS Cho /NAA increased significantly, generally more than 2. Conclusion Gliomatosis cerebri has certain MR characteristics. According to the location,PWI and MRS findings can make a qualitative diagnosis of the disease.
